Does anyone have a pinout for the ECU and Trans ECU? I am having a hard time locating them.

behind driver's side kick panel. Remove the small piece that just snaps in there.

Thanks! I'm guessing the 95 is basically the same as the 92. Now I just need the trans controller!

Hi Jason

I have posted up US trans wiring jpegs in the following folder:

http://www.subaru-svx.net/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=621&ppuser=66

I hope this will provide what you need. There is one proviso to watch out for; these are scanned from a '92 WSM. If your '95 car is wired OBD11 there will be differences in wire colours and other differences in the OBD connector arrangements.

The changes are not too radical I think, but I have not studied how much different the wire colours are in the OBD11 cars, it has no relevance for us over here.

Trust this will help.

Joe

Thanks! The SVX Guys seem to be VERY helpful. This is my 2nd SVX (the first one stayed stock). The car is in getting repainted right now, when it gets out, it's getting the full treatment. Turbocharger, and a ProEFI computer to run everything! I'm not shooting for the moon with this car (I've had several single digit turbo cars), just want a fun street car!

Well keep us posted on your progress.

We love to hear what owners are improving and changing on their cars. Best of luck with the work.

Re: 95 SVX ECU and trans Pinout

Well, got the car back from paint! Incredible work! No Orange Peel...looks like a show paint job! Need to get the windows tinted next, and find some nice wheels! The ProEFI is going in today, should have it running later this afternoon. I'll keep you posted and post some pictures if I get a chance later today.

That's good news Jason.

It will be good to see your pics, a good paint job is worth doing right.

Re: 95 SVX ECU and trans Pinout

be aware of the errors in the FSM about the ignition wiring if you plan on using the stock ignition. I will try and find the corrections I had found when working on getting my Hydra running

I did take note of a couple typos in the Factory Service manuals though for anyone who may need them in the future. The pins for the coils are wrong which is what was giving me such a hard time. And since the igniter doesn't just pass the current, I couldn't trace them with a simple test of continuity. So I had to do it the hard way on at a time.

Coil-ECU connector-Pin
1- b62- 10
2- b62- 8
3- b62- 9
4- b62- 7
5- b62- 21
6- b62- 16
Hope this makes sense

Tom

Re: 95 SVX ECU and trans Pinout

LOL! I wish I would have seen that post about 4 hours ago! I found that issue, got it sorted out. Car fired right up and came to a perfect Idle! Drove it around the block.... seat of the pants would suggest some instant improvement on the low end. It is still untuned with just the base map. I will try to get to the dyno by the end of the week for a back to back dyno comparison. The car is currently 100% stock, so we'll see what just the computer gets me. Then I'll start working on getting the turbo installed, but that might be a while.....we'll see. I might try an exhaust next, but some of that will be counter productive with the turbo install.

Thanks for all the help guys! My friends think I am crazy for playing with this car considering the other cars I have, but when you have owned one...you know how nice they can be!
