SVX Alarm

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem i have just encountered.

While my SVX was in storage the battery died and now my alarm does not work with my transmitter. I tested the batteries on my transmitter and it says it has life but i cannot lock or unlock the car with it. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this dilemma i am having. Thanks

Yeah, open the door using your keys and open the hood. Charge your battery. The alarm module WILL drain your battery. unless you have a 94+ model, you will have trouble...

Lightbulb Keychain remote programming

I just did this last week for the remote I bought. If your battery died, your alarm sys has probly forgotten the frequency for the keychain. Below are instructions on reprogramming:

1) Enter the car and turn the ignition to "ON" ( not necessary to start)

2) Turn key to "OFF" and press the "Securtiy" button repeatedly untill the horn beeps quickly a few times then stop pressing.

3) Slowly press the keyless entry remote button 4 times.

4) Turn the key to "ON" then "OFF" again.

5) Remove key from ignition and press the Keychain button, your doors should lock.

I hope this helps

I did that but i could not get the horn to beep. I hit the SECURITY button rapidly and then at a slower pace and nothing happened. That is where i am now.

Hmmm not sure then. Try pressing it faster for longer? I remember pressing mine on and off for at least 6 seconds very rapidly.

Good luck

You didn't answer my question about whether the security light is a constant ON or not. If so, you probably have the same problem I do which is detailed here.

The light is acting normal. It has the slow blinking.

Ok oh well, was worth a shot...

When you did the reprogramming routine, did you make sure the switch was turned OFF before turning the key on?
