I also understood that Clint put it in writing that it was $450 shipped for the group buy. Did I miss something?

Here is the first post!

BREAKING NEWS!

I need 20 people with radiator cracks/problems!
I have made a deal with a company called PWR Performance. They make radiators and intercoolers. They come highly recommended. Not only will the people who order these radiators get a hassle free install and years of trouble free use, PWR will fabricate a high efficiency 5 pass transmission heat exchanger in the lower tank. This will be an ALL ALUMINUM radiator (no plastic tanks). Your car AND your tranny will thank you.

The pad news is that we need 20 orders for them to invest the time to fabricate a drop in, high performance radiator. Cost will be $450 shipped to your door (or shop) in the United States. I will inquire about you Canada guys. Anyone outside the US can PM me and I will forward on your shipping question. For that matter, any and all questions should be PM’ed to me and I will forward to the contact. Their website can be viewed at:

http://www.pwr-performance.com

So, come on! Lets get the next piece of the puzzle for our SVX’s fabricated.
Even if you don’t need one now, just think how the shiny aluminum will look under the hood.

oh crap are you serious? Maybe this guy did not know the complete details of deal and assumed the shipping was extra? Chris might want to jump in here.

According to an earlier post from Chris, (11/16/04), Clint Barry was his contact at PWR. Its the same guy who replied to the email.

We shouldn't panic though. May have just been an oversight. We need to ask the only person who has actually received a radiator.

Chris... Did you pay shipping? Or was your's a freebie?

GET A GRIP

PWR is in California. Manufacturing is in Austrailia. Rads are shipped to the Calif. store and THEN shipped to us. How many of us do you think would tolerate a $200 shipping fee? Do you seriously think PWR would risk getting stuck with a couple dozen $650 custom made alum rads for SVXs? Come on GET A GRIP!

I emailed them myself a few days back, and the 22 Feb date is still good for arrival to California?? I think?? What isn't known from there is how much our "free to the door" shipping is going to cost, and actual delivery dates to our homes. We are all speculating on the shipping costs, but the best guess is from a couple of entries up - Shipping cost from California only and not from Australia.

I believe Chris must have gotten too busy. He has went from 2 or 3 entries a day while gathering up the orders to qualify, to now absolutely non existance.

Maybe we should "elect" a new contact person to get our updates and questions answered, and let Chris off the hook. The guy has a new job, etc.

Or maybe we should all move on and forget this. Is it worth this speculation just for a radiator?

I cancelled my radiator order from Subaru for this... Starting to really think I made a mistake. They were hooking me up at $340.

Radiator

This place is not going to try to rip us off guys. I went down and talked to them personally, and will do so again if thats what Chris wants me to do. They are very nice and make a very nice product, I personally am not concerned and feel very happy to be finally putting my radiator woes to rest.

WHAT, ME WORRY?

To my anxiety ridden brother SVX owners waiting for their new alum rads,

I have a call in to Clint at PWR. He now has my private cell #. The message was left for him to call me about our new rads at 2:00 PM PST today, Friday Feb. 11. I will discuss your concerns with him and remit his resonse as soon as I get it. Steve (Hohopirates) lives v. close to the PWR shop and I'm about an hour away, so a face to face is possible if necessary. However I see no need for conern at this time (although my stock rad is working just fine, so I' not in a hurry). As the Aussies say "No worries". I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear something.

Everybody calm down.

PWR is a 100% legit company with an excellent product.

The delay is due to ocean freight shipping from Australia.

Have faith, the radiators will arrive. Note that PWR has now added the SVX fitment to their web site.

I would imagine the test fit prototype he received was a freebee.
