RHD Factory SVX Manuals

Hi all

There are a number of Australian owners who want to order a set of the RHD SVX manuals and I know that a few of our European friends were having trouble obtaining the same from *cough* Subaru *wheez* UK for anything less than a qouted 1000 pounds.....so

if anyone wants a RHD set, can they let me know so we can organise the logistics? We will order them in December or thereabouts and thence a 6 week delivery time from Japan to AUstralia...thence either surface or air (gasp! $$$) shipping to Europe.

Thanks

James

Thank you for thinking of us.

What sort of price are we talking about?

Hi James,

Sounds like a good idea.

Do you know if anyone has checked out the following on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1871904186

Claims to be a full SVX service and repair manual on CD's with versions for 92 93 95 96 97?

Aubrey.

I am not sure about the CD's but in my opinion, a lot easier to read a manual under a car than a laptop with a CD in it!

The manuals range from $135AU for the 1992 set to $215AU for the 1997 set.

Postage would depend on whether sea or air and also the weight (97 weighing more than 92)

Ok.....for logistics, lets say that anyone who wants a set, to let me know, here, by 30 November 2002.

Then I can let everyone know how much they need to send and what the cost will be for shipping depending on how they want them

Then the order will be placed and presuming that all goes to plan, we should have them from Japan by mid January and in the hands of you guys not long after that.

If the UK guys are emailing amongst themselves, can you let each other know and advise of this?

Thanks

James

I've got to believe Joe would want some

Not to put words in the local moderators mouth, but I haven't seen Joe around here recently.

Thanks for thinking of me Todd. Quite correct. I want a '92. However, I may be swayed for a '96 or a '97. Reason being, if I am successful in finding another car, I will be looking for an uprated later model.

James, with a '96 manual, is the core '92 model material sent as standard, but with additional upgrade volumes for later years? I definitely want the books. Please let me know what is dealt with in a '92 vs a '96

Ta

Joe

PS: Been busy over in London helping our Brit friends beat the Kiwis. OK Trevor, the baby Kiwis!!.

And of course, we Irish beat the Ozzies. Wot a weekend! I am not recovered yet.

Hi

The core set is thr 1992 set consisting of 5 (thick!) volumes on such things as Body, Electrical, Drivetrain etc...the following years are supplement volumes (a lot thinner) that replace some of the data in the earlier years and the like.

I bought the 97 set (1992 + supplements for 93,94,95,96,97) because I am a greedy guts and want lots of SVX's!!!

Well worth it (about $216AU for the entire set)

James

I've got the cd manuals. They're pretty much worthless. Very general info.
