Hardest Clutch Ever Help!
Got my SVX back, it runs, it's now a 5 speed, but the clutch is hard to press. Has anyone had this problem?

Re: Hardest Clutch Ever Help!
What clutch was used in it? Different ones have different pedal pressures based on holding pressure and spring design.

Re: Hardest Clutch Ever Help!
It's a cable clutch.

Re: Hardest Clutch Ever Help!
It could be a rusty cable, or the cable could be installed in a way that it is bent more than it should.

Re: Hardest Clutch Ever Help!
^^^ exactly, the cable could be too tight of an angle or kinked, or possibly clamped between something. This why I will always go with hydraulic clutches in subarus, the parts are so available and they work so well.

Re: Hardest Clutch Ever Help!
The cableparts are also readily available, and work great if installed properly...and I feel you get more "feel" with the cable being directly linked to the fork....
The cable ones I have done have all work fine with little effort. So check the routing of the cable, if that's not the issue, get a new cable (Rockauto is a good source)
