Re: Took my SVX out of storage yesterday.

I was never a programmer. I work in games, but I'm an artist. I spent most of my career doing environments, but for the past few years I've specialized in lighting. We're like cinematographers for games.

I rememberred you worked in games but for some reason I thought you were programming. I think I asked you the exact same question that time that Marisa and I met you and your wife for breakfast lol....except that was 12 years ago. What can I say? My memory is weak, but at least i'm consistant.

Re: Took my SVX out of storage yesterday.

Well, all of a week and a half after I got the car out of storage, it's gone. A friend of mine is driving it back to Milwaukee.

I kept it together, but my son did not. He bawled, much like I did once when I was his age and my mom sold a car I was attached to.

Hopefully Dan will come back to this site. I am pretty sure he was registered back when he had a Pearlie '92.

Now I need to decide what to do with the big stuff Dan didn't want. I have the original transmission from the car, which has burned out clutches and is missing a shaft I scavenged for a Legacy once. I had intended on rebuilding it, but haven't since I pulled it from the car over ten years ago. I also have a set of steel wheels, bought at the same VT dealership as the car, for snow tires.

I was strange to take the SVX off my sig here. I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be, but I've lost enough sleep over selling the car this week already.

Re: Took my SVX out of storage yesterday.

Glad you handled it well mi amigo. Thinking about that exact scenario in my head (if I had to do it), I can't honestly say I'd handle it that well. I hope that day doesn't ever come.

You will be sticking around the site....right?

Re: Took my SVX out of storage yesterday.

Man, I haven't paid much attention to this site in the past several years. The last couple weeks, sure. But will I be around much a month from now? I have to say it's unlikely. I'm at work seven days a week and we have a daughter coming in a month.

And I no longer have an SVX.

Understandable. You have my email, keep in touch. Give my best to your wife and kids
