Speed sensor 5speed.

Hello.
Have some one here wired up the speed sensor on the svx.
I have a 90legacy transmisson and speed sensor from 99impreza and contact
form a 2001 Legacy. This is 3wired.

This is the Auto wirning form the svx. look like this before i cut it.

Recently had to change the sensor on my JDM SVX. As you know, it is driven from the front diff. Have you tried fitting the SVX sensor in the Legacy transmission? It appears to be a kind of replacement for a cable drive so maybe the Legacy works differently, picking it's signal from perhaps a crown wheel sender instead of being a self generating type. If so, an old Volvo pick up sensor might do the trick as they were diff mounted.

The europaen speed senor is placed almost center of the transmission.
And not in the front diff like the US model.

The pictures on buttom of the page is the oem speed sensor that was placed on mine auto tranny.

You might get a larger audience if you post this in the MOD trans section....

I believe that the front speed sensor is similar in the US 4ACT and JDM VTD (possibly AU too) automatics and most of the manuals while the EURO VTD is a very different set up.
