SVX awd Transmission

I had this tranny in my 1992 AWD when it started acting funny. It would stay in 2nd or 3rd to long before shifting or would take a second to engage from a stop, that kind of thing... I had another tranny in the garage so I just had them swapped.
I have NO IDEA what's wrong with it, It may be something simple or it may need a complete rebuild your guess is as good as mine.
The car had 103,000 miles on it when the tranny was pulled and it's been sitting in my garage taking up space for the last two years.
$200 and you come and get it in the wonderfull land of Asheville, NC.

(While you're here you can stop by one of our gift shops and pick up a Hippie for your kids)

Re: SVX awd Transmission

The brake band is out of adjustment and the High clutch is failing. This transmission will not be good for anything other than for the front differential or as a rebuildable core.
