Tom, If you are using the RS232 board? the plug is wired looking at the female pins on the cars moniror port as follows.

*plug clip pointing up

1 2 4 5
6 7 8 9 10

*2= transmit to ecu
*4= recieve from ecu
*6= negitve
*10= positive 5 or 12 volts depending on the board setup

PM sent. any time after 10:00am pacific. I have built my own converter from my own design on professional equip, and they work great. The 92s are tough to work with but it is doable. I did it with my 92 after alot of head banging.

Thanks for the congratulations.

It's nice to see there's some progress being made in my absence. I have a few updates which I was working on before the baby arrived, but they are on my computer at work so it's going to be at least another week or so before I can publish them on my website.

There is an updated howto, showing how to build a single board containing both the original circuit and Calum's upgrade.

I also have some nearly-finished (linux) software to log vehicle speed against time into a CSV file so we can plot pretty performance graphs in excel.

Also, I took my Legacy to an independent scooby specialist to have some work done and he lent me an ECU from a 1996 UK SVX, so I'm going to download it and see how the fuel and timing compares to JDM and USA models.

Mychailo, best of luck to you with the baby girl. Hope everything works out well.

Tom, I'm sorry that I don't have time to help you at present, but I'm sure Mike can help you sort this out. He knows a lot more about electronics than I do.

Calum, Thanks for your continuing interest in helping the SVX community. I'll take a proper look at what you've done once things calm down a little here.

Phil.

Phil, congrats on the new member of the family, I saw the pics and she is cute.

Mike, would you want to send me the board you have? I am also contemplating buying the one in the beginning of the thread that Hocrest posted about... anything I should be aware of? Or another (in the US) source I can get it from??

Tom
