Angry electric seat failure

mmm, it got stuck, it doesn't go either forward or backwards. the back retainer works normally. I checked the fuses, they are all ok... anybody had a similar experience?

That's the car telling you it wants new racing seats to match the new exterior.

Significant Technical Input
Loose change caught in the seat tracks? Do you hear any noise when pushing the buttons?

Binding?

I had one that quit working so I started to take it out to see what parts I needed. In the process I discovered that one of the electrical boxes had been bent upward causing it to catch on the moving part of the seat. Bent it back down and the seat has worked perfectly ever since. I don't think I would have ever discovered the problem without having the seat part of the way out.

Unbolted

When it is unbolted and leaned forward check all things that could be bent upward to effectively stop the seat from moving when in the tightened position. That is exactly what mine would do and there was a metal bracket that was bent upward. At least you know all the electrical works---so the problem is mechanical.

There is a relay under the seat, mounted on the floor pan. I was quite a while ago, but I remember this going bad and my seat stopped working. Had to take out seat to get to it which is a little difficult when you can't move it!

In any ways, i thing the only solution is to take the seat out. This relay idea seems most feasible because if it were something stuck, i would hear a grinding underneath me. in my case, i do not hear anything when i try to move it...

I am looking buddy, i am looking for a couple of used racing seats, and i am having a wild idea now concerning pulling out the leather off my seats and put them on those... they will look great, "mutated original SVX seats", hein?
