Check my locker. I scanned the service manual pages for it in there.

The short version? Remove the entire back end of the car. Diff, axles, suspension links, subframe, the works.

It may be possible to get at the lines you need to fix through the access panel under the rear seat.

If you do end up dropping the tank, check the brake lines that are back there. It may be good preventative maintenance to replace them while they're accessible.

Oops, I deleted them from my locker a while ago, and my scanner has long been thrown out. But later tonight I'll dig out the fsm and take a picture of these pages and post it here.

Don't be fooled, the guy in the diagram may be smiling while doing it, but i doubt you will be. This is significantly easier on a lift, doing it on jack stands would be a huge pain.

So there's a burst in the hard line between the tank and the front? Can you relieve the pressure on it, find the hole and repair the hole? If so, that sounds significantly easier.

Yes, I'm pretty sure I found the hole. Just not quite sure it's the only one.
It's one of the hard lines just outside the tank and before the hose.
I'm sure I WILL try patching the hole first, "just so I can drive it to the shop", and then drive around like that for several months at least.
What I'm wondering though is, is it possible for the tank to break or crack where the lines pass through?

OH! And thanks for the scans!

Even though they confirmed my worst 'working on the car on the weekend' fear...

The lines don't pass through the tank, but rather through the lid. You should be perfectly safe there.
If you remove the inspection hatch, you can see this.
