Camshaft sprocket wrench

The manual says to use tool # 499207100 to keep the camshaft from turning when I try and loosen the bolt. I can't find a picture anywhere and Subaruparts.com has the item discontinued. Does anybody have a picture of one? Is it really needed? I was going to rig something up but if you guys think I might damage something I'll try and buy one. Hey, I'm always up for buying more tools Either way I need to figure out a way to remove the camshaft sprocket. Thanks

if you have an impact gun you would not have to use the tool... why are you removing the sprocket?

You will still need something to hold the cams in place to torque the bolt tight when you are done.

Generally, it's the easiest way to replace the cam seals.

I was planning on replacing the cam seals and put in a new water pump while I'm down there. Thanks for the pic immortal. Maybe I'll try and put something together today.
