The happy family has clearly confirmed direct personal and named insults are OK as long as directed by the close knit of the brethren. The standards have slipped to a point where the network is no longer acceptable.
I most certainly will not again sincerely or specially offer even a plain ÒregardsÓ. Statement by Porter -- Your use of "Regards" at the end of most of your posts is equally irritating. Repetition of the word indicates a lack thereof. "Special Regards" is in and of itself offensive, and needs no repetition. N.B. The thread you started using my name was direct sarcastic abuse. You now say, If it was a low blow so be it. You made a sly attempt to obscure your intent knowing many would not be aware of the preceding circumstances. Earlier in this thread, making excuses to Randy, you state : - This guy has been actively trying to start a fight with me for months now. If it was a low blow, so be it. I don't have the inclination to kiss ass or make nice over the situation. Just when and where did I do as you say i.e. try to start a fight ? It is however possibly that I did not agree with something you said in error and therefore simply annoyed your ego. Provide the evidence. Learn a lesson. You simply could not stand the heat. I may be an old man, you get into a childish tantrum when challenged and are in a corner. When I read the debate (if you could call it that), I did not want to get in the middle of it. I am however, disappointed that some people have to resort to name calling and profanity to try to get their point across. That does nothing for their case.
I am disappointed also, that some members relatively new have, have started to cause some of our long time, established members, who have a wealth of knowledge, to decide that this is no longer a place they can come and enjoy. If Trevor leaves this network, I will be greatly disappointed in loosing a friend and the knowledge that he has.

Throwing a temper tantrum because I lost my cool with you is not the way to resolve this. What would make you happy? If they banned me? If 30 members of the board stepped up and said you were in the right? If I prostrated myself and asked for your forgiveness? You need to calm down, man. You've been having a fit about this for what, four days now? Give me a break. You started this whole mess by calling me dishonorable and repeatedly calling me stupid, etc. ad nauseum. You even accused me of actively trying to mislead and defraud people for personal gain. Those are grounds for a fight in any language. You didn't like where the argument escalated to and now you're trying to call foul. I've dropped it and moved on... obviously you haven't. Please figure out a way to do so. Indignation is not going to solve anything. |

rob you need to 'can' it. i admit that i don't add much other than my dry humor at times, but i also don't add tension to an already tense situation. all this 'we win', 'you lose', 'Until this "I give up thread" I thought very highly of him.' crap is not helping anything.

I'm sorry, but I feel it necessary to voice my opinion. Trevor was a REALLY great guy, and he was extremely knowledgeable in a lot of subjects. On top of that, he had a sense of tactfully being blunt which I still admire.... but to have him just up and quit coming here because Porter (who's a brainwashed audiophile and won't admit his cables are ripoffs) insulted him? Come on!
