Dyno Graph

For those who might be interested, here is a dyno graph on my mid mounted 3.3l late model corvair project. Mods were forged pistons(11-1), long tube headers, ported heads, mild cam running on Megasquirt 3/3x. If the figures are accurate, I am pleased with the numbers.

Re: Dyno Graph

Nice numbers. That should be a blast to drive. I always wanted a Corvair because Ralph Nader said they were dangerous.

An SVX engine in a Corvair.
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Thank you for the numbers.

Re: Dyno Graph

Some healthy cams would easily net you another 30-40 HP. But nice numbers just the same...especially the torque, and especially on a Mustang dyno!

Re: Dyno Graph

243 Hp at the wheels is great. Stock at the engine is 230, if memory serves me right

Re: Dyno Graph

Bob,
Why do you say "especially on a Mustang dyno"? I am not sure whether to trust their #'s.

They call a Mustang dyno "the heartbreaker". A 300 HP STI reads about 230-235 whp on one. On most other dynos an STI might read closer to 260 whp.

Re: Dyno Graph

Bob,
That's interesting. This was a Subaru tune shop and at the end of the session, he said that the 3.3's output was very close to the output of a stock STI. Sounds like the figures are pretty close.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Dyno Graph

I'm afraid not. I was aware you had cams and ecu chips but not pistons. A subaru tuner ordered these from JE.

Re: Dyno Graph

Any chance that this is the JE part number - 314339 ?

Thanks.
