Windows go up but not down
So my windows have been acting up recently. I noticed the other day that I could not roll down my passenger front window, yet when I try to roll it up I can hear the motor. When trying to roll the window down, no noise happens at all. This happens using both the master window switch and the passenger switch, so it's definitely not the switches.
Just yesterday this also happened to my driver rear window as well. Are my regulators/motors going out? Do I need to replace the whole assemblies or just rebuild them so they roll down again?

Re: Windows go up but not down
You might check and see if there's an issue with the master switch in the drivers door. IIRC the all of the window controls go through that switch; if there's an issue with the window lock button then you might be getting the problems you're describing. For what it's worth, it's strange that they only work in one direction... :scratches head:

Check the switch for dirty contacts.

Re: Windows go up but not down
All the switches?
Also, my driver rear window started going down again. I'm so confused as to what's going on...

Re: Windows go up but not down
I had a problem last summer with the windows, seat and sunroof. The wires and relay connections had rotted under the seat as described. In your climate I wouldn't expect it but it's possible.

Power seat and sunroof work fine. Sunroof motor is a little weak trying to flip up the sunroof, but it's been like that since I bought it. The window thing started happening a couple weeks ago.

I have exactly same problem!! About once a month the passenger window doesn´t go up. Everything else works well.

Re: Windows go up but not down
For dirty contacts, disassemble the switches for the windows that are acting up. If those check out clean, then check out the master switch in the drivers door. Again, if I remember right (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong) the circuits for all of the window motors go through that switch. If everything is good in, for example, the passenger window switch but the drivers switch has an issue, the passenger window will not work properly.

Re: Windows go up but not down
When you disassemble the driver's window switch cluster, hold it upside down. (Or hold it over a bucket or something.) There are little springs and things inside that will fall out if you're not careful. I had a problem with the passenger window not going up from the driver's switch (still went up from the passenger switch). Cleaning the contacts in the driver's switch cleared it up.

I'll try taking all of them off and cleaning them with some electrical cleaner.
