exhaust resonance

i cant stand the resonance in my exhaust system, the only type a cat i have is the y pipe cat then a flowmaster muffler. is there any way to get a deep low rumble, my old impreza L had a can muffler or N1 and the rest was stock and it sounded awsome, it had real deep rumble. how can i get that sound in my svx. it resonates from like 3,000 rpms and up .

you've got to put resonators where the old secondary cats were to get rid of the resonance. You can get some "rumble" back by eliminating the flowmaster muffler and resonator aft of the primary cat. You'll need to replace them with a single, high flow resonator (note: you may have to add two resonators to keep the police away..).
