Leaking oil and coolent???
Ben just called me. He is making his way home from today's autocrossing and noticed a nice puddle of oil and coolent dripping down onto the trailer. He say's it appears to be dripping evenly onto both side of the crossmember and then down from there.
Any thoughts on where this crap is coming from?? Our only thought on the coolent is the hose that runs through the throttle body? any other sources toward the rear?

It may be a few hours till he gets home, he was hoping to have a few ideas of things to look at quick... in the dark... so we don't continue to leak coolent all over the lot.
As far as we saw, it wasn't leaking at all during the runs. Or even when we first loaded it on the trailer. Is there anything that would leak out when it's cooled down? btw... I haven't seen the official times yet but I think I got first in our class

The first place I would check is the hoses and all of the clamps. It can leak in one spot and travel down hoses or hard lines to more away from the acutual leak. Good luck and let us know what you find.

Still not a clue on the leak. It may just be coolant that is down there. I'm so tired I can't tell anymore. Good news is it stopped. Bad news is there isn't an coolant above the leak now. Think it fixed itself . I'm going to bed to catch up on some sleep. Heck I was so tired today I let Hocrest win!!! (actually he earned it but it took my track expertise to drop that second off my time when he was running plus he had the tire pressure already dialed in on his first run.

Check the tube going into the overflow tank - sometimes they leak and it'll blow coolant toward the back of the engine I'm guessing you're not leaking any oil -- it's just the coolant that's rinsing off the engine... What tire pressures are you finding work best? 50F/40R??? Congrats on the "tiring" day!! -Bill

There was a constant cloud above the start line and on the corner I was working we were getting showered with dust regularly. There were a few cars I noticed that left their street tires on rather than mount their racer's. But with that said, we were at 34f/30r

Actually Dave, I ran at 31 28 for my final run (the one I shagged the 2nd cone and missed the gate b/c I was irritated I hit the cone).. You were probably back up to 33 30 by the end. Granted the course had as much grip as a typical rain day track. I rarely go over 43 though for the fronts on most of our courses simply due to tight turns and understeer. Rear I'm still trying to figure out what works best.
