Did you mean the AT was in third gear? Assuming the car would rev to 7000 rpm and the TC was at 1:1, the top speed in third gear is 144 mph. And that's with the US market AT with the 3.54 final drive ratio.

I've been 155mph, and there was still more to go Don't think it very wise to go much further than that though and I'll probably never do it again

No,no ....the third gear thing was just a joke, but the topspeed of 166,875mph was not a joke, but it was on the 4:th gear.

Yesterday I tried 3:rd gear topspeed (I have FINALLY put my summer tires on) , and I saw between 6750-6850 RPM and 215-225 km/h on the speedo (it's HARD to tell exactly )

Then when the 4:th kicks in... it feels like the car is literally HIT BY A TRAIN from behind

I think the "comma" is confusing the issue. Perhaps you meant 166.875mph, not one hundred sixty six thousand eight hundred and seventy five mph.

.....eeehh...SORRY.... we use comma instead of a dot....I usually remeber that but this I cut & pasted from the "calculator" (after the km/h to mph conversion), so I missed it
