Anyone own a VW Bug?

If so, can someone give me an approximate measurement from the bellhousing to the furthermost part of the motor? I think that would be the crank pulley. Thanks.

I'd like to see that same thing done in the svx with a bulkhead installed behind rear seats to separate from mid engine compartment. It could be done much like an nsx.
