I flipped through a Mopar magazine a few weeks ago that had a WRX/SRT-4 comparison. Yes, it was very biased. But they did make sure to point out the SRT-4s severe handling flaws. I haven't personally driven one, but the car didn't seem to be well balanced and the hype was focused squarely on HP figures. Subaru's philosophy is braking>handling>power, if I rememember correctly. Even if the Neon wins in the 1320, I'd still buy the WRX for its AWD.

Nick,

I'm confused by your post.

Are you saying that the Subaru philosophy is that braking is greater than handling, and handling is greater than power ?

Or, are you saying that their philosophy has all three as equal ?

According to an article I read in their Drive ad...I mean magazine...the former is the correct interpretation.

In this particular issue, the 2.5RS was their only real performance car, and the 'philosophy' may have been quoted to answer complaints that the car was underpowered.

Well we know it isn't Warp Speed....... Even though some of us like to dream that our cars are unbelievably fast.... I like to dream that...... Especially in my Jeep

These things (Turbo Forrester's ) have been around for a few years. Just not in America. They were in Australia the last time I was there in 1999. From what I hear they are quite nice to drive compared to the other "small SUV's".... Never rode in one, didn't really catch my attention as much as my dad's 1999 WRX!!!! That was the **** car!!!! Never have I wanted a car quite as much as I wanted that one.... Well, the SVX came a bit ahead of it..... But not by much...

That comparison was more than a bit biased...it was rediculous. I certainly won't argue the fact that the car is faster but they said the SRT4 pulls from the WRX like a Viper passing a school bus.

regardless they have an SVX right?
