Question Remember a couple months ago

When there was a thread on "Driving Music", and I brought up "Golden Earring's Radar Love", Now Subaru is running a new WRX Commercial using that as the music in it……..Maybe they ARE watching this site! …………If so I want royalties! …he,he…… Might offset some of my Christmas bills.

Yeah, actually the guys on the 'Car Talk' radio show ranted about that commercial, calling it 'irresponsible.' They said that they missed the Subaru that they knew - the one that built cheap, reliable cars and said that by building the WRX Subaru was only 'floowing a trend.'

I lost a lot of respect for those guys that day. They'd probably laugh and reply with, 'you actually HAD respect for us in the first place?'

Anyway, I dig the commercial, too. It's been on for about three months now (I think), so I doubt they took the idea from here.

Huck, I remember your post, and unlike Mr. Pockets, I'm absolutely positive that Subaru stole the idea from you and is using it without giving credit.

We could retaliate by refusing to buy the new SVX!!!! Then we'll have 'em by the short and curlies!

< yeah, that's the ticket! >

Given the overwhelming evidence in Dick's post, I'm going to agree with him. There's simply no way that Subaru didn't outright steal Huck's idea.

We already know that SOA trolls our forums, snickering as they steal every good idea and boiling with rage at every criticism.

It's an outrage! A travesty! Is there no end to the corruption and cruelty of the corporate world?

Why, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to write to my local congressman!
