Total Loss

The insurance company has called my car a total loss. Right now the offer is $3804.83 for the car. It has 211,717 on it so that is not too bad, but I have receipts for a freshly rebuilt Transmission, motor, new calipers and rotors, new front axles, and brake lines all around. Only Subaru Parts used. Can't wait to see what they offer me after they see that. I will probably start to strip it on Saturday. Sorry, no parts for sale yet. Need to see what my next SVX will need.

The car was in perfect shape (look in my locker) and yes it was an LS-L. The only thing it didn't have was the block heater. Why?

That's just about what the Manheim Market Report lists as the Dealer cost for that. Retail is in the upper 4k area. As for your miles probaby wouldn't make any dif with the work done. If you have a $1000 deduct thats not bad but you really should be getting about $4800 including your deductable in there.

The block heater and spoiler were options on the 92. Apparently, no one opted for a block heater because I have yet to see an SVX with that option.

It is his insurance company that is paying. I will be damned if they get off with that amount. A tranny and motor less than a year ago(about 9000 miles). I put over $6000 into the car in the last year + what I payed for the car. I want at the very least $5500.
