SVX Trivia!

Post your trivial and inane SVX knowledge here.

Something like.

The coin holder on OBD1 SVXii holds exactly $5.00US in quarters when full. (its true, check it out for yourself if you have to much time on your hands)

Try to post something you think know one else could know. It could eventually make for a fun ifaq. (infrequently asked questions)

With the rear seat down and the front passenger seat removed (4 bolts + 5 minutes), the SVX can comfortably transport a dozen 8 foot long 2x4's - with the trunk latched!

Hmm, lemme try!

Okay, uh... Did you know that the Subaru SVX can be easily characterized by it's frame in frame window design? Apparently the designer tried to recreate the feeling of an aircraft cockpit with this feature.

If you smoke, and you're used to flicking your ashes out the window, remember to use the top of the WIW, unless you like ashes in the armrest.

I've learned to use the ashtray. You'd think with the "smoking culture" in Japan that this would have been addressed.

if you drive an SVX uphill on a hot summer day, your transmission fluid temperature will soar above 200 degrees!

With the rear seat down and the front seats moved to approximately their center position on their tracks, a 20 ton shop press (disassembled) will fit inside the SVX so that it can be transported - with the hatch closed!

Did you know without removing ANYTHING from the car(USDM 94 LSi) a barily sub-average trip to a club store(Sam's Club, BJ's, CostCo,ect) can be accomplished w/ passenger. Oh and not have to put down the rear seats, and allow normal entrance and exit of the vehicle.

97 USDM OBS can hold more through hands down. I"ve had passenger plus the dozen 8' 2X4's plus nails and railings with passenger. I"ve also had 9 people plus back packs for all fit.

Wouldn't trade either.

If you install a "winter blade" on the rear wiper (the ones with a rubber sleeve covering the mechanisms) and operate the rear wiper while traveling above 130 mph, the wiper will lift up into the "service" position and not pop back down on it's own.

If Ceyx is the Morning Star as we know it, then it refers to Venus, which is a planet.

On the other hand, Alcyone is another name for the Pleiades, which is a constellation. All of the stars visible in the emblem would therefore be very bright stars from outside our galaxy, and there would not be any relation to the Morning Star.

Technically this picture may breach our rules on what may or may not be shown on the Network, but it is such a beautiful picture that I for one would not be prudish enough to pull it.

It affirms the beauty of the cars we drive, is how I see it.

It is also a little known fact that Alcyone coined the belabored phrase, "Not tonight, Dear...I have a headache". Luckily, Ceyx had his Polaroid to capture the moment.
