can anyone do some carfax-ing for me?
I'm looking into trading my other car for a second SVX. I found 3 of them within driving distance, but I would like some background on them, please.
 #1) JF1CX3533NH105403 (beater) #2) JF1CX3532RH100103 (ricer) #3) JF1CX3530NH106993 (potential) I've never asked this before, so I don't know what the proper carfax etiquette is. I guess anyone interested in doing this for me, just post here and PM me the info? If I'm being a jerk by asking, please let me know

Are these SVX's in Canada or the US? I don't know if I'd trust Carfax for Canadian SVX's. Not sure if I'm the only one though.

#1 is actually an American car (or so the guy says - it has a white face gauge kit, so it's difficult to tell). The other two are Canadian vehicles.
If Carfax is unreliable, is there some Canadian alternative?

hmmm, you may try calling Subaru of Canada or asking a dealership to run the VIN for you.
You'll know it's Canadian from the daytime running lights. They will always be on with the engine running and e-brake off.

Yeah, I know about the DRL thing, but it had no battery power left, so I couldn't start it, and the sales guy wasn't being very helpful. He offered to boost it, but it was pretty beat anyway, and I'm already fairly certain I don't want it.
Edit: might make a good parts car though...

Oddly, I didn't think to look for text in French anywhere. As I'd mentioned though, there was a white face gauge kit in place, so I don't know if it was really reading km on the odo or not. I asked about a keyfob for the remote entry/security system, and the guy said there was none, only the two copied keys (another worrying thing). Yeah, safe to say, that one is a parts car, if anything. Also, it had no spoiler.
