Really neat Jesse

You mentioned a front LSD , are you gonna use the rear LSD also?

My experience tells me that a front LSD probably gonna make the car more prone to understeer, but what the heck, the launch capability with both front and rear LSD must be painful for your opponents

And I now see why you lost 20lbs ..... you removed the battery...

Mike: Yeah right.

Bill: I never liked the ABS, it almost killed me twice. It's great for people who don't realize that a car can't steer when the wheels are locked up, but I like controlling my own brakes.

Sonny: Yes it's gonna have front and rear LSD's, we will se how it goes. P.S. the battery is behind the seat.

Cali:I will work on a how to/ parts guide once I get everything together. We'll see how Stage III works out, there may be a supercharger in the future. Right now I'll make due with stage II.

Tom: Thanks, how you making out with yours?

The "ability to modulate your foot" mod, I praise you, it's a cheap one that really makes a big difference.

Overall, nice project you have going on. If the axles don't work, the custom units you have to have made won't be too horribly expensive considering how much you already have in it.

Good luck!

Well THAT was cold Think you could make a list of parts when you have some time, as somone previously suggested? You should perhaps change your moniker to "Lord of All Things Mechanical." Why limit yourself to engines...

Speaking of axles -- I just got a quote from TCI on a set that will handle 300hp - $650. A set that will handle 500hp will run $1100 due to the R&D they'll have to do.

Hi Bill, the OEM SVX axles are more stout than all the other Subaru axles, perhaps with exception to the STi axles.

Funny, I just reread this and realized you were talking about the tranny not the car.

Hay, whenever your ready to throw $6,500 into your car just let me know. I think it might cost extra for the exaust work thoe, you know it needs it.

i think you are doin a great job and i too want to apply the 6speed to the SVX but i think i will wait a few years till pricies take a nose dive and sti front clips are easily availabe. a front clip would prob be the best way to convert it. then sell the engine and still maybe only loose 1-2k depending on prices. Just a suggestion for anyone who is thinking of doing the same thing.
