Trans rebuilt

I thought my exhaust was the cause of my lack of power, but it was actually the trans. I'm having it done by Lee Myles in Mt. Poconos. The owner is a real nice guy. He showed me everything that failed in the trans. It's not cheap, but he will do a complete rebuild of the trans and differential and throw in a trans cooler with the filter and also fix my exhaust! He also offered me a 0% interest payment plan. Anything I need to know while it's in the shop?

Has he ever worked on the Subaru cars?

0% payment plan? The first time I heard. Sounds good but overall how much do you need to pay him and the warranty-wise??? Any info? I'm wondering how much he would charge people to rebuild the differential......... thanks.

Once I get all the info on paper, I'll post it. ( price, parts, labor and payment plan)

The part I like is he actually went through and showed exactly what needed rebuilding. That's a rarety someone would take the time to explain it.

Rebuilt trans break-down

Here is the break down;
internal inspection, remove-rebuild-install, assembly kit, exchange torque convertor, recondition geartrain, solenoid assembly, v-body recalibrt kit, ATF, filter, side carrier bearings, pinion bearing, trans cooler with filter, and fix my exhaust. The finance is 0% for 3 months, 1 year-12,000 mile warranty. Total with tax; 3K. He will also spot weld the screws in place so they won't loosen up again on the new piece.

[QUOTE=dannmarr] side carrier bearings, pinion bearing,
These are the differential parts that are being replaced.
This price is good considering he added extras and lowered his initial price and charges only 65 an hour rather than 85. Do a search and find I'm in the ball park on the price of a fully complete rebuild.
