Talking I have a new SVX, too.

Sharon got her Volvo back today! For those of you who hadn't heard, the SVX has been my wife's commuter car for the past five years. After being stranded in Steamboat Springs for a couple of days this winter, we decided it might be time to get her something newer and try to cut down on the mileage on the SVX. We shopped for two weeks solid, drove every wagon on the market (I was extremely impressed with the Saturn LW300 - it's a rocket!), and finally decided on a 2002 Volvo V40. Ordered it on Saturday. They located the ideal car on Monday, and we drove the two hours to Bloomington, IN (didn't like the high-pressure local dealer) on Wednesday to bring it home. Before we got very far we discovered the cruise didn't work. Great! Took it back and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. I had to get to work - I was already going to be four hours late - so we demanded a car (They gave us a rental. Focus. Ugh.), and drove it at 80+ all the way back. They finally found the problem early the next morning and delivered the Volvo that night (Thursday). She drove it to work Friday, to church Sunday, to work Monday, and almost got home with it. Kid was driving his mom's dark van, after dusk, in a driving rain, with no lights. Sharon paused at the yield, didn't see anything, and *CRASH*! She kept the SVX. I got the bicycle. (We traded the Camry.)
Anyway, 25 days later, we've already made the first payment, we got the car back. Good as new, too.

And the SVX is mine, mine, mine! (again)

Significant Technical Input
Glad to hear that it's all finally back to normal and that Sharon is O.K. Also glad to hear it wasn't the Subie in the wreck.

He didn't appear to be at all hurt , but his insurance company called and asked Sharon some unusual questions about that.

He was ticketed at the scene for no proof of insurance. But that was rectified when he provided proof later. So, no tickets. Both should have been ticketed in my opinion. I'm not being excessively harsh on my wife, but it's a rare situation when an accident occurs at a yield sign, regardless of the circumstances, and nobody is ticketed. We didn't press that issue.
