<<Everytime I take a left off of a busy 4 lane road to pull into the parking lot where I work, at the same time somebody's pulling out of the parking lot to take a left onto this same road, they pull right out in front of me, even though I've got the right-of-way. I usually have to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting them. Yes. EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN' TIME!!!>>

Is it the same person every time? Sounds like you need to get to work sooner to avoid this person.

YEAH!!!! Trans Ams will always hold a special place in my heart. My first car was a '79, later on traded for a '89. Hopefully another one in my future to keep the SVX company. Maybe a '99. That, or a Corvette.

No. That's the thing. Everyone does it. I think in general Colorado has some of the worst drivers. People just arn't aware of what's going on.

Try driving in Iowa. Whereas most people drive fast and dangerously, in Iowa, they drive SLOW and dangerously. It takes 'em five minutes to make a lane change and whether you're ready or not, they just keep coming. I'd never seen such "polite" reckless drivers. At least their slothful pace gave you time to look for a ditch to drive into if they were cutting you off.

Randy,

Please, I was raised and learned how to drive on the island of
Manhattan. We have our own rules. Try playing chicken with a Checker cab.

We invented 'giving the finger' as a gesture of driving courtesy.
We also invented shooting people who try to take our parking spots. Furthermore. we have bumper stickers which read, "Pedestrians..Proceed At your Own Risk," and "Pigeons & Pedestrians- Fair Game."

Colorado drivers definately fall into the slow and dangerous category, which I think is worse than fast and reckless. I can't say anything about New York though. I'm sure that's a nighmare in itself. Although I did spend the summer in southern California, so I have a good basis for comparison. And let me tell you, I have been extra irritated with colorado drivers since I got back.

I've only driven in "Da City" once, so, my perception may be skewed. No problem. It's hard to have an accident when TRAFFIC AIN'T MOVIN'!! (2 Hours to cross da GW -- Sheesh!)

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.
