Question Anything wrong with.....

running only water in the radiator ? When i added my tranny cooler i had to drain and pull the radiator off. When i put it back togethar i filled up with water only, no coolant. I live in Austin, Tx. Not much winter weather here, although i'll probably add coolant at the end of the year..just incase. But as of now for summer driving is there anything wrong with running water only ?

Thanks
RB

The coolant also has corrosion inhibitors. I use distilled water not tap water.

There is the corrosion factor. Then the water pump lubrication factor. Also a 50/50 mix has much superior heat handling characteristics than just water or any other proportion of mix. Why not treat your SVX right with a gallon of the best AF.
