I couldn't take it any more...
I've driven my SVX three times in the past three days. Last night I actually filled the tank for the first time since Lafayette. No kidding, I was still on that tankful.
I drove it to work this morning, but probably for the last time until I get a new transmission. It gets around. Up to and from 2nd it has a hard time, but on the freeway it locks up and everything. I just needed a little bonding time.

Hey Nick,
Is it doing the same thing it did before you flushed the trans and changed the filters? Maybe a good idea to do it again? Does it matter if you accelerate fast or slow? |

I'm kinda bummed right now. They're beginning to block off Downtown Evansville for Autofest. I had such a great time last year and had so looked forward to this year. Oh well -- next year, folks. Write it down in your calendars -- Last weekend in September.

I've thought that maybe flushing it again would help, but I really don't think so. Flushing helps remove debris from fluid passages. As a wise Beaver once told me, 'that debris comes from somewhere.' The clutches are simply worn. Reverse, high and AWD still work fine, so it must be just the low clutch that's worn out. (If that's an inaccurate assesment, please correct me. I'm learning what I can about the internal workings of this tranny.) With the others, it's only a matter of time. And then the pump makes noises, too. Plus the seals are old. It's not worth nursing any more.
