Are Denso plugs crap?

I went to the dealership today to get some stereo mounting stuff installed. While I was there, I figured I'd have them check the plugs. Reason being that I've experienced loss of power and misfires (RPM fluctuation at idle, deceleration on the highway while lightly tapping the gas, etc). I was told I have Denso platinum plugs installed and that you're only supposed to install NGK in Subarus. They said Denso plugs cause nothing but problems. I know the plugs won't cause harm, but seriously. How much of a difference in power will it make between using the two. Any thoughts? By the way, the plugs have about 18k on them.

Dave.

I run Denso Iridium Power IK20s on my 94. They are great! Anything else I can tell? My friend Steve runs the same on his Audi A4 Quttro.

I highly recommand them.
