17 inch wheels
I'm looking at buying some 17x7 wheels with 35 offset. Been trying to do calculations regarding width and offset but just got confused. Does anyone know if they would fit? Also would 17x9 fit?
Thanks |

According to http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html, your wheels will extend an extra 14mm. You should have more clearance than that to the fender in the rear, but double check just to make sure. They wouldn't be optimal for handling though...

I know that 235/45-17s on 17x8 w/48 mm offset wheels will fit. 245 with 45 mm offset is going to be very close to hitting the fender lip. It will probably depend on what camber setting you use. BTW, 245/45-17 tires are going to be almost a full inch taller than stock. You might want to consider running 245/40-17s instead.

Yeah Ive been looking at wheels and tires (Gforce ta kdw?) for auto-cross and 245 40series on a 17x8 +50 offset is like .6% off 59.7 when the speedo shows 60 and 45 offset is the most common (thats anywhere close) so thats where i was thinking. Camber will be stock suspension.
