Down Under Lyrics Question

Does this mean something like he's picking a fight?

"I said to the man, are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"

I found out what a Kombi is, Zombie, Chunder and Vegemite!

Thanks, I'm just exploring a little Australian culture. I wonder if I could get some vegemite here? Do you keep it in stock?

when I lived in the US, I could not find any Americans who actually liked the taste of vegemite.

There were a couple of shops that stocked it. There's an Australiana chain that opened up around Crocodile Dundee time, but it may have died a natural death. We used to get ours from the Australian Embassy in Washington. Also got our Violet Crumbles and VB from there!!!

There's also a couple of ex-pat sites that cater to Australian's living overseas. You'd find it on one of them.

If I were you, and you haven't tried it before, get a smaller jar.

It's unique.

Very true! It is what one would call an "acquired taste"!

As for me - I love the stuff!

I love that song. They should use it as the theme tune for "home and away".
