About right.
I've been staying there at least 1 night per week.
Randy lives there. I can now use the kitchin, bathroom and sleep in my own recliner in the livingroom!
The only lock I don't have a key to is Randy's car!
When he's in town, Randy stops by and comes in to say hi. Mary actually LIKES him! Today, she gave him houseplants, another saucepan and some sheets.
Life is getting BETTER!

Hi Dave.
On The Simpsons, or Family Guy they refer to Opra as Opal.
How is THAT for a gem?

Re: Farm, 2011

Randy stopped by for a short.
I remembered that I had a lot of 'stuff' that was needed at the farm here, then I remembered that I had a DVD that his buddy, Leo, was interested in looking at. It is a comedy show from 1961 that Leo's Great Grandfather was a 'guest' on.
Leo's Great grandfather was Leo Derosier, Back in the 60's, he was a Major League baseball player.
Leo has never seen a picture of his great grandfather. I gave him a vid that shows him talking!
I'm gonna find out all I can about this man and pass it on to his Great Grandson!

IF any of you know ANYTHING about Leo 1, POST it!! Leo, II, post it! Leo III, I can find on the local CRIMINAL background check!
I am trying to 'reclaim' the 'LEGACY', skipping ONE generation!

This young man NEEDS to SEE where his bloodlines were POSITIVE!!

About Leo 4, He has a leg that is 4 inches shorter than the other one, due to an accident that he suffered years ago. He has been trying to 'fit in' at the farm.
He just turned 18 a month ago.
I have him 'pegged' as a good man that needs some 'back-up'.
Please post any GOOD stuff about his 'bloodlines' that I can print and hand to him!
He just may be the 'voice' you hear when booking 'work' at the farm!

Re: Farm, 2011

Fired up the Cub Cadet sat for a full day of mowing. I got 90% of the grass cut. The guys got a mud bath when I burried the tractor in the front garden plot, so they went to the creek for a 'bath'. While they were there, they stacked rocks on a 'tight spot' in the creekbed, forming a dam. The hole is now about 3 feet deep. This will come in handy when the grandkids stay over this summer.

Last year, I didn't start mowing till mid may and it was so high that it took till mid june to get it knocked down.

I asked the guys to find all the stumps that they could and KILL them, so I don't hit them with the mower. A lot of the stumps are cut too low to be seen while mowing and too high to mow over without a lot of noise or damage.
ONE of these days, we are going to WORK on CARS again!
It rains almost every day I take off to go there and all saturdays but the last one. (That is why I mowed instead of working on cars)

I am having a 'BUT FIRST' spring! I want to do this, but first, I have to do that! For every 'but first' I complete, 3 others rear their ugly heads!
By the time I get the 'but firsts' completed, I forgot where I set my keys down and have to go hunting! (Or some other setback!)

Farm is bringing me 'JOY' again! I woke up saturday and Sunday in my recliner, in the living room of MY house in the country, with grandkids sleeping all around me! Daughter in the camper with her 'life mate', 2 young men that used to call me "adopted dad", that now just call me "Dad"! Work happened, food happened, play happened!

I am SOOOO glad that I decided to NEVER rent that house out again!
It is 'OUR' house! MY family and friends can crash there every weekend and ENJOY it!
Saturday night, The lovely and gracious Diana and OT showed up to share our campfire, OT's son Nick and 2 others came too.
It was a WONDERFUL weekend!

Glad it's working out Jerry!
Maybe this time I'm out there I'll actually have time to come and stop by. I'll be getting to OT's sometime Thursday.

If you need a welder, a plazma cutter, a place to hang out for a few days, I'm your Man! What is it, 17 miles frm OT's to the farm?
No 'lift' back there yet, but we can use the rollback to improvise.
We can always make a BIG fire to drink beer next to if you decide to check us out!
The livingroom has (3) recliners and one couch. The damned toads might keep you awake though. The 'Whip-o-wills' will put you to sleep. COUNTRY!!! NATURE!!! FARM!!!!! ADDICTION!!!!! (Why I have not given up yet!)

Nick, Chris, Jenny, Di, Bear, Koshi, and I
had a nice respite this weekend,
at The Farm.
Yes it was only for a couple of hours,
but it was nice.
Fire, good people, a couple of beers,

nice.

Re: Farm, 2011

'Leo' was here tonite. (1/2 of the new crew).
He's Leo 4, a direct decendant of Leo that is in the baseball 'Hall of Fame'.
"Good guys finish last".
I have known his dad for 20 years. He's a usless POS! (2 years before he was born)
I found out tonite, that I have known his mom for years too.
She's also the same pos that his dad is. (I wish I could post the connection here, but HIPA laws protect her)
SINCE I have provided Leo with a house in the country, a chance to learn a trade, all the tools that a young man needs to 'prosper', he now calls me "Dad"! I can't get away from him without a 'hug' and him telling me that he 'Loves' me!
This young man APPRICIATES what I am trying to do for him!

I told him that I REQUIRE a clean pee test for our relationship to grow. He said "No Problem"!

The 'farm' is getting back to the original intent! To provide a place for good people to EXCELL!!

The rain kinda dampened the evening, but we still stayed at the fire till 11:30.
There were 4 kids, 2 young men, a daughter and her BF, and a 1/2 drunk Old Fart there when the Krynock party showed up!

Re: Farm, 2011

The guy that 'had my back' that had his parole 'violated' has a 'loving' girlfriend! She called the other night and told Randy that she and her NEW boyfriend were moving in THAT NIGHT! Randy told her NO WAY!!
The power in the big shop was in her and John's name, but I paid the bill. Today, she had the power cut off, then called to say that "John said that she could come get his tools". Well, I got a letter from John on Monday, where he said that Randy was to KEEP his tools till he came back,And that he has not heard from her in over a month, and had no idea where she was.
I am more inclined to believe John than HER!
I told Randy to "Give her the furniture and decorations" that I helped John haul in, but NOT a SCREWDRIVER was to leave as far as tools go!
Randy was concerned that she would do something like this, so he put her stuff in a spare room and got his OWN stuff!
As far as the 'big' shop, We have only been using it for storage and lawn mower repair. All MY tools are in the other 2 shops that still have power.
The big air compressor and the washing machine are about all that use power in that shop. The washer can be moved and I have 2 other compressors in the smaller shops.
The only 'damage' that was done was to her 'credability'. The power will be back on next week in Randy's name. That bill runs about $50. per month, because I do MY stuff in the other shops! I Thank God that she showed her 'stripes' before I signed a 'lease' on the house!
