Re: New to the svx world
300hp out of an SVX is doable, however nothing will be as cheap or as easy as it is with a Honda because there pretty much are no bolt-on mods for our cars. There is a supercharger kit but I'm not sure if he still has it, I'm sure he'll chime in. He's currently working on a turbo kit but I don't know how far he's gotten. These cars are NOT rocketships, they are fairly heavy, and there is little you can do to lighten it up due to the thickness of the sheet metal used in the chassis. However, they are a fun car and there are still plenty of things that can be done to improve handling and performance. If you are just looking to make it better than stock, that's definitely doable, however don't expect to make a 10 second car out of an SVX unless you have 15-20 grand and are good at fabricating.

Re: New to the svx world
Welcome to the site. The SVX is a Grand Touring car, not a 10 sec car. You can do some mods to it that will increase the performance, but it was not designed to be quick. It is a great touring car though.

Re: New to the svx world
Thank you for the great replies. I am not looking to build a 10 sec, fast & furious, or rice boy type of car. I want to build very clean maybe a hint jdm style car that is fun to drive. With some nice oversize wheels & brakes nice sound from the exhaust but with some power for the right foot. I will be using Volks or Works wheels and parts from some very well respected manufactures. I do not what disrespect anyone or there cars. I too like some of the bling bling cars out there plus the work thats in some them is awesome.
