center diff

so that subaru that i just got with the rebuilt tranny. i think its binding put fwd fuse in and it stoped but it has less than 3k on it and they put in a new c sol. is that normal?

power light comes on when i start it. i tried to get the codes but it would not flash me anything.

Binding occurs in the transfer clutch which the C solenoid controls. If the clutch is rebuilt also it may just be packed too tight. Do a bunch of slow figure 8s in a parking lot to help break it in, the shop should have done this.
If it still binds there may be larger$$ issues.

could it have gone bad cus they drove it with a doughnut tire on it???

that tire was bald whe i got it

If the donut was on the back and the FWD fuse was not used that could be it.

Binding. Go to your local parts house and get some Lube Guard in the red bottle and put it into the transmission, thru the fill tube. Should take care of your problem. Fishtail.
