Dash door light indicator

When I open my doors the indicator light on the dash does not light up. Because of this, the alarm does not know when a door is opened. What should I do?

I'd check to see if the sensor at the door itself is stuck.

Actually, when the door is open, the inside light doesn't light up either . I pressed the 'door' button above the rear view mirror and nothing happens. Is it a fuse or a relay? Where are they located?

Does the passenger side indicator work? Does the dome light come on when you hit the "roof" button?
These door sensors, are they magnetic? I don't see a switch like any other reasonable car LOL

The switch is a part of the latch mechanism. You need to take the door apart to check it out.

Do you know if the entire latch assembly has to be replaced? My dome light and belt have started acting as if they're on a delay, and I figure the switch must failing.

It could probably get cleaned out with some contact cleaner??? I think, I have one out of a door, I'll get a picture if I do...

Thanks. Near as I could tell from a parts diagram, the switch isn't sold separately, and the latch assembly is $100+. I'll definitely zap it with some CRC before springing for a new part.
