I'm really going to try and make this one
 But somebody may need to beat me upside the head soon. I'm going to go look at another 92, this one is black and in Yakima But hey, at least this one runs!  Really, theres nothing wrong with me

I'm going to check at work and with my son (trip navigator) if a road trip is possible that weekend. Its not too far, and I DO like driving...! Maybe I can convince some other SVX owners up here in the Great North to come. Be great to meet some of you in person.

Yes definitely! We've had at least half a dozen different Canadian friends attend our various events in the past (and one even hosted a Vancouver meet once a few years back). But we can never seem to get a large showing of you guys all at once!

If anyone is interested in lodging in the area, shoot me a PM...
There are a couple of motels right in town where the tour starts/ends, 2 miles from my house. Monroe's not the most "touristy" area, but it is safe, has tons of restaurants/stores, and is a gateway to tons of scenic areas. And you'd be right at the start/finish of the tour. If money is tight, we can also put up a few people at our house (if you don't mind a 19 month old toddler and two large cats). We have one private guest room with a "bed" (one of those raised inflatable queen size), and a couple of couchs. Again, PM. P.S. If there are a few people interested in doing a motel in town, let me know ASAP and I can go over there and see if any of them will give you a deal for a mini-block of rooms.

Not too far...
I was just looking up the time/mileage on the mapping programs and realized from the US/Canadian border to downtown Monroe is only 90 minutes! And under 100 miles! It's basically a straight freeway shot on I-5 the whole time (70 mph speed limit until the last 10 miles) until Everett, then just 20 minutes east on Highway 2 right into the city of Monroe.
It's also not terrible coming from the Portland area, but it is farther. I made it from Vancouver, WA to Monroe a few weeks ago in 2 hrs, 10 mins... but your results may vary.  I'm checking with the Monroe motels today to see about prices and what they're like. If a few people end up staying here Friday and/or Saturday night(s), we can plan a few other activities around the event.

Oh, they must have lowered the speed to 60 on that stretch too!
Or I just forgot. Either way, Mapquest and Yahoo still claim 90 minutes drive time.  Has anyone crossed the border at I-5 lately? Looking to see how long the wait is coming into the U.S., especially on Friday night/Saturday morning.
