I've been thinking about getting GC after seeing your old car. What needed to be welded? I know a few of you guys cut the cups for a cleaner look.

Is it so awesome we should be obliged to tear apart perfectly good oem struts?
Refurbish them with better components

The entire SVX community is who has been ripped off.

That's what I don't like.

You can bet your ass I'll still do what I have to do to get a better suspension.
I don't think you understand. You don't have to buy anything. Need new struts? Buy some OEM Showas or pack it up. No need to trash Koni. They made us a strut, they did it the easy way so they, like many other aftermarket companies for the SVX didn't take a huge loss from people saying "hell yeah i will buy a fiberglass hood from Class Glass" and then only 3 people actually did it. Realize this, there is a very little aftermarket, companies are not going to flock to our beck and call for parts, infact we are lucky Koni did. Don't like it, don't buy it

The lower perches should be welded on as per the instructions. If you just use the old seat, there is a good chance it will damage the collar for the GC's

Tom
Someone here had used JB Weld instead of using "real welding" and claimed they were holding up just fine.

I'll spend some time trying to find the post and send them a PM.

I used a JB weld thing as well. But I still used the perch that came with the coilovers. USing the stock perch alone will probobly damage the collar
