Sorry guys, life has been busy. Have been doing some serious home remodelling, with still a lot to go. My wife is due to have our first baby on Feb 17th. And on top of it all, I was pretty sick the last couple weeks.
So I have decided to scale back this event this year. I had some really big stuff planned that I just don't feel there will be time to pull off in the proper way, so I'm saving them for next year. All I can promise at this point is "Let's get together for dinner as friends." I will probably not push this to all members far and wide as much as planned, and will understand if those that live out of area opt not to make the trip. But of course all are welcome to attend! This is scheduled to be our only gathering until the Spring Classic in April or May, so it's always good to get your SVX fix. I'm sure I won't be able to resist at some point and find the time to at least put together a few awards - at least the certificates and recognition, perhaps not the usual valuable donated prizes from sponsors. And if some others want to put together some gatherings for the rest of the weekend, we might still be able to make this a "destination meet". I'm thinking the Lynnwood area for the dinner (like last year), nice and central to usual locals. Maybe try to keep other activities centered around this area as well, especially on Saturday. The trip from Burlington to Lynnwood last year seemed to break up the group a bit, as some didn't come down and some didn't go up, so we didn't get everyone together at once (and everyone was late coming down). But whatever works. Oh, and let's do the weekend of the 21st. That's the one I had in mind as well.

Well, Troy and his wife are going to have a baby around mid February and he has not been able to get the final plans done for the Awards Banquet. A couple of us are jumping in and will get this done, but we need a little more time to do it. We have figured that Feb 25 (Sat) would be about right. I hope that by moving it back a little we can get this done and I hope that this will not mess members up by the change of date. Please let me know how this date looks.

We are still working on the date for the Awards Banquet, and will post the final date asap. I am trying to get a couple things settled at this time. If we use the later date, we will have a much nicer banquet than if we stay with the original date.
