Windscreen Costs

Just read a post in the European Forum on the cost of a replacement windscreen, read it twice and will have to take a deep breath and read again.

Price of replacement US$1750.00

If that price is reflected here, then I think that grnSVX96 idea of grey imports is a winner, even if it's only imported for windsreen replacement.

Before I check my insurance to see if I am covered, has anyone here replaced their windscreen and and at what cost.

Of the two people that I know of who have had to replace the windscreens, it costs $1900 and $2200 from memory - we have brown tinted glass, not the blue as one of them was sent (8 weeks to get that issue sorted)

Watch the stonechips!

windscreen replaced

My father had his windscreen replaced a few years back. The cost was around $1,800+. This is the reason why I have got windscreen coverage in my insurance. Cheers, Mark.

I did the same - figured the $50 extra was well worth it!
