Ow!

Okay, so I was putting my headphones on here at work, but (unbeknownst to me) the cord was stuck under my chair. The headband part is pretty springy, and the left earphone snapped back and hit me in the eye.

It hit my glasses so hard that, when I took them off and could see again, there was a greasy eyebrow-shaped print and then a wet eyeball-shaped one underneath it.

This always happens to me - I'd take a picture of that if only I had my camera. I carry the damned thing with me 99% of the time, but the three or four days out of the year I don't have it something cool like that happens.

I feel your pain. Twelve and a half years of radio (all of which Headphones were involved at least 6 hours per day), it's a wonder I don't have brain damage <light bulb goes off> maybe THAT explains it! You've not been hit in the head until you've been smacked by a pair of Koss Pro 4AA's.

What surprised me wasn't the fact that I was hit in the head so much as it was the eyeball print on the left lens of my glasses...

Headphones

Hi Nick, I switched to wireless Five or six years ago, That way you can't blame it on the cord or the chair. Take care, BOBB

Oh, man. You HAD to bring THAT up. Ow, my teeth hurt just thinking about that.

Or, have some idiot set up a remote on a concrete slab, just after a rain?

Yeah, me too. You gotta remember, we were still using some ol' tube equipment back in the 70's. Wet concrete slab + mic on a stand = arc to lips. Made sure they packed rubber mats in the remote kit after that one.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Well, my office-mate heard it happen, but nobody saw it. Don't worry - I ran around showing people my glasses so I'd have witnesses.

I did that once a while back. It was a metal screen and I sorta dragged the inside of my nose on it, which acted like a cheese grater. Blood everywhere.

That. Sucked.
