Unhappy Sold the SVX

As of 1.30pm today, 29 January 2004, 17 months and 2 days of ownership later, my SVX has been sold

The new owner, Jason, will probably log in here soon.

Great car, miss it already - can't wait to get another one (either here or in the UK)

Sigh....now I have to bring the Camry on cruises!!

That said, anyone want to buy a digital temperature gauge that displays the transmission temperature? I bought it for the SVX (its brand new) but never installed - and not much use now

Its a Dakota Digital one (www.dakotadigital.com) - sender unit and gauge $140AU

Cheers

James

SOLD THE SVX SHOCK HORROR, Is the World coming to an End?
"OH. The Humanity, sob"
OK, Got that out of the way, I'm interested in your temp guage too, then a bit later some of the members might visit to pick over the bones.
I haven't got a tranny cooler on mine yet, so it could be interesting to see what it does.
But then again I haven't been able to drive my SVX for the summer yet.
Hope to start putting it back together soon
James, I've got a flying club meeting next Tues, but maybe we could meet at the restaurant the following Tues?
Arthur.

Oh James

i'm sure the grieving process has only just started and will continue to get worse, peaking when you come to a meet in your camry.

Must say though, am still enjoying my svx more with each passing day and its nearly been 3 years

Just wondering about "Camry Meet"

Is this a type of camera?

A needlework stitch?

Oh! I remember a type of transport vehicle, like a bus or cab

Question What's up with these people?

James,

It's just a lot confusing to see somebody who have put one of the better (if not the best) SVX websites seeling is own.

Did I miss something?
How will you live?
Can you still breed?

Will you make now a Camry website?

There must be an explanation...

Tone

Hi Tone and thanks for the comments - I will eventually get around to finalising my site.

I had to sell it since my partner and I are looking to move to the UK to work and since we could not bring the SVX with us, and that it may sit for between 12 and 18 months unused, the only viable option was to sell it.

I saw a piece of s^%t silver one for sale today in a car yard, with 185,000km, no history, awful paint - a dog of a car - for $19,900 - D R E A M I N G!!

I miss it so much already but at this point, Cassie is more important (she can only get a working visa therefore we have to go ASAP) but will buy another one.

If we are down your way in our travels, we should meet up

Cheers

James

James Solution

James i have a solution to your aching heart!

You and Cass are totally welcome to borrow mine for a weekend or a few days whenever u like- i rekon camry driving could be kind of fun hehe. If you have somewhere special to go or want to go away for the weekend give me a bell & we can swap- when i put myself in your shoes i can imagine how sad u must feel. Just finished washing mine and the windows look sooooo good with new cleaner.

Cheer up!
Moshol

Hi James,

I will be more than glad to welcome you here and show you the way around.

Also, I badly need an expert to drive my yellow SVX to tell me if everything sounds at it should.

If you don't mind driving a LHD one...

I wish you and Cass all the best for your stay in London.

Cheers mate.

Michelle, thank you so much for your very very kind offer! I am sure that, after driving the Camry, you will want to swap me for the SVX!!

Tone, I just looked in your locker...OMG!!

That is my favourite colour (and Randy's!! ) and has the wheels that I wanted - do you know anything more about them (brand, offset etc)

The perfect combination!! (except LHD!! )

Cheers

James

PS: do you have any more photos?

James,

These wheels are 17" and are an optional (at least) from the German market.
Check the attached pic from Subaru of Germany.

I believe they are Subaru approved and exclusive but as you might know there are no such things as fully manufactured wheels from car brands although they are involved in its design and approval.

They have a small mark on the inner side identical to the OEM ones which makes me think the manufacturer is the same.
They are not directional though and are equiped with P7000 Pirellis.

If you want them I might think in selling it because around here these are not the best as our roads are full of holes.

In return I need 20 nuts for the OEM ones...

Check my locker for a closeup pic of one of the wheels still taken by a friend before I bought it.

If you want me to take specific pictures just let me know.
I will be taking a few more later anyway and will put in my locker.

Cheers.

Tone

Thumbs up

That's settled then. James will be going to Portugal, pockets full of nuts to feed the nice yellow birds on the motorway.
