Seating position

Anyone with 5 minutes to spare please try this:

1. Park on level ground

2. Move the seat back until the top section, (between shoulderblades is verticle, check with a spirit level.

3. Raise the rear of the seat base to maximum

4. Lower the front of the seat base to minimum

5. Try it out and give you opinion

but before andy goes and launches a trojan rabbit over the pond at me, i did try the seat thing when i went for a night drive and actually i thought it was pretty comfortable. felt different at first, but pretty good to have a nice posture while driving. legs felt very comfortable to the petal.

I have to raise the front of the seat bottom up and lower the back. Otherwise my thighs aren't supported well and that's not comfortable on long trips.

But I do tend to keep the seat back pretty much upright.

i use a similar seat position. do you have the seat as far back as it will go?

I'm short, so I have to have the seat base up in back and low in front.

I used to, but I changed my position about a year ago. I moved the seat maybe 2 inches forward. I didn't like how stretched out my arms were - because the telescoping wheel (while nice) doesn't reach far enough if I put the seat all the way back.

So either my arms are too straight or my legs don't get enough support. Having to compromise isn't Subaru's fault - I'm just mostly legs.

My seating position changed thanks to the extra pedal. I'm sitting closer now so I'm able to push the clutch completely to the floor (to start the engine). For once I don't have the steering wheel out as far as it will go.

..........because everytime I go to the SVX, this is how 'er indoors leaves the seat. I can't even move it out of the drive like that and with regular use I would be quickly back to my osteopath. (Maybe not a bad thing <thinking back to the hot chick last time >)
