63 Big Healey

I just got back from vacation. I got to drive the 1963 Austin Healey BJ8 my Dad (pictured) and I built from a basket case when I was 16. (16 years ago)

We got the dual SU's tuned right (Dad had made some changes a couple of years back) and she's running GREAT again.

It isn't an SVX, but it is still a good lookin' rig. Our car is no show queen and we rag 'er pretty hard. Blasting down curvy country roads is really fun. The wheel tramp at 70 is interesting/disconcerting , but it goes away over 100.

There are a couple of pictures in my "general riff-raff" folder.

Side note: I also got to drive the "stem winder" Caterpillar 22 'dozer. I think it is about a 1934 model. It starts right up (if you now how to crank 'er right!)
