WOW! One has to question whether they chained that monster down or not. If that had gone just a little further it would have caught and blasted right through the shop wall and took those guys with it.

Yep...(leans back as he hitches his thumbs in his suspenders and stretches them forward)...my SVX does that everytime I put it on the dyno. Last time we even had anchor chains from the Queen Mary straining to hold it back. I had to back off the gas when the guys noticed the anchor bolts working their way out of the concrete slab.

Well, I found out what the car was, I followed the link on the video.

Its the one called GTR-700. 1995 Skyline R33 GTR V-Spec. It is built as a drag car

Specs- Looks like the RB26DETT, built to about 1320 HP (redline past 12,500 ), 2835 lbs, best run 8.96@161 mph using a 10,000 RPM limit because of drivetrain and tire limitations.

There are more videos of it on the site, including one of the 8.96 run.

That thing is so cool.....
