Cruise Control relay

When I push the CC switch, I hear a clicking near the glovebox, but it doesn't always stay engaged. When it does, the CC works fine. Is there a solenoid/relay there? If so, what is the part no. and cost? Could I get one after-market?

Mine does the same. I've read on the board that it's a matter of cleaning the contacts behind the button, but too much effort for me right now. I'm laying back

I've also noticed that once you get the light to stay on it will go off fairly easily by just tapping the button without actually pressing it in. (At least on mine anyway)

I've never had the need to turn it off and personally would rather have the system on all the time.
