engine seems to be running hotter than normal Q:

hi my car engine and alternator is running hotter than it use too.
i resantly change my spark plugs and a new stereo
i use to be able to put my hand on the intake manfold and it was cool to the touch now you cant hardly touch it it is so hot.

Do you have access to a non-contact thermometer?
A normal SVX engine when warm, will have a 200°f intake manifold temperature.

i'll try that.
another question about the water pump what is the flow rate of the stock pump? should i be able to stop the flow if i pinch the radator hose?
