SVX brake pad job, easy or a pain?
I'm going to be doing brake pads all around pretty soon. The only other car I've ever had long enough to do brakes on was a 91 Sentra and that was probably the easiest thing I've ever done, didn't even need to disconnect the lines. Are there any quirks to doing the brakes on an SVX or would you think they're just as easy?

Easy as cake provided the front caliper slides are in good shape. If they don't move freely then some fixoring will be required. This usually involves a hammer.

Ahh yes, fixoring with a hammar....percussive maintenance! No problemo.
Yes they have the clips thank jeebus. Also, there is a bit of rattling from the brakes when going over rough surfaces, I've ruled out suspension because it stops when the brakes are on. I hear it could be some kind of pin, also easy to replace? Thanks guise. |

If the car has spent it's life in Maine, the pins are most likely rusted pretty well...
