5 speed swap ?

Ok so, I can get everything I need for a 5 speed swap except the clutch for $350. It is out of an impreza. Anyone ever used an impreza tranny before? Would you guys suggest it? I think I am gonna do it to see what it will come up with, if anything I will just need to get a new tranny... But I am siked about having a 5 speed Pearlie!!!

I just forund out that it is out of a 95 impreza... That should work fine right?

Should work fine, a search will turn up just about all the info you could ever need on the subject. Biggest things are cross member and shift linkage need fabbed up and stock drive shaft needs extended or a legacy or outback d/s can be shortened about 5/8" for a little cheaper usually.

making the auto and 5spd cross memebers isnt hard ,a wrx tranny works better because it matches the final drive ,unless you are changing that too
the kit i used had the peices for the shifter and drive shaft ,mine is pear white too and a blast to drive as a 5spd
